Honey-Marinated Chicken

Makes 4 servings

Metric Ingredient Imperial
4 skinless, boneless, chicken breasts 4
250 mL vegetable oil 1 cup
30 mL honey 2 tbsp.
30 mL Dijon mustard 2 tbsp.
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2
10 mL salt 2 tsp.
75 mL red wine vinegar ⅓ cup
30 mL soy sauce 2 tbsp.
15 mL Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp.
5 mL black pepper 1 tsp.
75 mL honey ⅓ cup
  1. Blend all ingredients except 75 mL (⅓ cup) honey; pour over chicken breasts.
  2. Place in plastic bag and marinate in refrigerator overnight.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade.
  4. Grill chicken 6 to 10 minutes, turning once and basting occasionally with 75 mL (⅓ cup) honey during last 5 minutes of grilling.

Note: Honey is a safe and wholesome food for adults and children, but it should not be fed to infants less than a year old.
